60 years ago today, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signs into law a resolution passed by Congress to make “IN GOD WE TRUST” the official national motto of the United States of America. Prayer and Bible reading is considered essential to the proper education of our youth, and the U.S. Supreme Court repeatedly declares that the U.S. is a distinctively Christian nation.
