All Lives Matter

All lives matter. Historically, Christianity did an amazing thing. In the ancient world, children and women were often looked down upon. Jesus Christ comes and elevates the status of children and women. Christianity begins to teach the first century that all people are valued in God's eyes. Everyone matters. The slave is as important as the master. The wife is as important as the husband. The Samaritan is just as important as the Jew (race and territory differences). The terrorist in Ninevah is as valued in God's eyes as the prophet in Israel. The child is as important as the adult. Jesus Christ was indignant when the disciples tried to stop the children from coming to HIm. He even stated that the kingdom of God came for such as these (children). God (Hebrew Elohim) created all people - "red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight - Jesus loves the little children of the world." The Bible reveals a theology that values all human life - from conception to the grave. We need to reclaim the sanctity of all human life. If we believe that everyone has been created in God's image - they have the capacity to have a relationship with Elohim through Jesus Christ - then we will respect ALL life because ALL LIVES MATTER. We are losing basic civility and respect in our society. Respect one another. Teach our children to respect the law, to respect its representatives, and to respect all people - regardless of their color, race, religion, or place in society. All people have the capacity to bear the image of God.
