How Mountains Move

Mountains are often seen in Scripture as something insurmountable or impossible, a difficult task.  Jesus wanted the disciples to learn that faith must not be in systems, formulas, or religion, but in God and God alone.

Nothing is impossible with God.  Jesus taught his disciples that they key to prayer is not faith in faith, but faith in God.  God is the object of our faith.  We overcome by faith in God, not by our own abilities.  Faith is never greater than its object.

Manley Beasley, Southern Baptist evangelist, often asked people as he met them, "What are you trusting God for today?"  Our faith in God to move the mountains in our lives is an active, daily faith.
